12.5" solid silver Albert-style mixed link pocket watch chain paired with a heavy silver shield fob with a stylized horned skull design, the primary length of the chain is created from long open rectangular links with rounded ends connected together with three sturdy oval links, one end of the chain is finished with a heavy finishing link and a large silver swivel clasp, other end of the chain length is finished with a heavy center connector ring, off the connector ring is also a sturdy ring supporting the medium-sized silver t-bar with raised center swivel detail and a 2" length of the mixed-link chain creating the fob-drop arm.
Connected to the fob-drop arm is an extra heavy silver shield-shaped fob with laurel engraving on the lower half, a slightly raised blank monogram shield in the center that loosely resembles both a shield and the forward part of an animal skull, two slightly raised curved accents a the top of the design with engraved circular designs in the center loosely resemble curved animal horns and a sturdy top connector loop, there is some fine text on each side of the center monogram shield, possibly "REAN 520188" or similar.
Chain findings, links, connector rings & fob are all hallmarked with the walking lion icon required on vintage UK produced solid silver items; chain links and findings are showing normal even wear overall however there are a number of tool-marks on various components as well as some smoothing to various hallmarks, the fob is showing normal even wear overall with a few light scratches and a bit of smoothing to some of the engraving, chain measures approx. 315mm in length, long chain links measure approx. 5x26mm, chain weighs approx. 13.8dwt, fob measures approx. 29mm wide x 37mm tall x 3mm thick, fob weighs approx. 10.0dwt. A high quality vintage English silver pocket watch chain and fob set in excellent overall condition!
