Japanese quartz ladies' wrist watch, mint mother of pearl dial with slightly raised gold fancy Arabic numbers and markers, gold steel wedge-style hands and a gold sweep second hand, heavy yellow base metal (YBM) & stainless steel (SS) round smooth polish case with wide center extended lugs has a flat glass crystal surrounded by hand-fit pieces of natural cat's eye quartz, shell, or undyed mother of pearl and carnelian, with two small crystals set at 12, 3, 6 & 9 o'clock, case is showing light even wear with some light discoloration on the frame opposite the crown, measures approx. 32mm in diameter x 38mm lug to lug x 8mm thick (crystal included), matching YBM smooth polish hinged cuff-style band with a hidden hinge within the watch lugs that is spring loaded to help keep the cuff closed securely when worn, the cuff has also been set with hand finished pieces of the same three semi-precious materials as the watch bezel but in wide rectangular segments with slightly domed tops, watch has a minimum wearable length of approx. 180mm when fully closed however it can be worn slightly open on a larger wrist. A handsome quartz watch from the early 2000s in excellent+ overall condition!

Quartz watches have been commonly found from the 1970's to today; they are excellent timekeepers and easy to maintain, but do not contain the mechanical (winding or self-winding) movements that most of our antique watches possess. This specific watch has been assessed for running and setting condition and is properly working as expected. With this type of movement, you can expect the watch to keep at minimum +/- 1 minute per week accuracy, with many quartz-movement watches keeping accuracy levels of +/- 1 minute per month or better.
Prior to shipping, all quartz watches purchased from PM Time Service will have a new battery installed for you at no additional charge. Please anticipate an additional 1-2 day delay in processing your order for us to complete the battery update. While each watch will draw power of its battery differently, it is reasonable to expect that a fresh battery will last at least 1 year. When it is time for a new battery to be installed, you can either
contact us for a quote on our current battery and return shipping charge, or most local jewelers will be able to assist you.
This watch comes complete with an appropriate, intact glass crystal; however, on request PM Time Service can replace the current crystal on this wrist watch for you. We offer new plastic crystals for most vintage wrist watches; you can select your desired choice from the dropdown menu below.
Please note that the average turnaround time for wrist watch crystal replacements will be two days from the placement of the order; however, we do not carry every model of crystal in stock and there may be a delay of up to seven business days as we order the correct item from our supplier.
