Fujitime for Nelsonic 0J ladies' wrist watch, case #TT01012 1623, mechanical manual-wind movement, mint multi-colored metal dial with a white outer ring under the fancy black Arabic numbers, inner area has two sections, the right half is red with white Arabic numbers and marked "past" and the left half is blue with white Arabic numbers and is marked "to", with the word "O'Clock" spanning the top of both, this design is helping to indicate two ways to read the time, for instance the hour hand at 5 and the minute hand at the 3 o'clock position could be read as "5:15" or as "1/4 past 5", slender black steel baton style hands with pointed tips and a black sweep second hand, heavy white base metal (WBM) & stainless steel (SS) smooth polish cushion-shaped case with a sloping bezel supporting a flat-topped heavy glass crystal and classic short extended lugs, case is showing light even wear overall with a little light scuffing on the back, this watch was likely infrequently worn, measures approx. 27mm wide x 33mm lug to lug x 10mm thick (crystal included), bright blue rubber strap with a lightly textured finish and accents along each side resembling stitching.
This watch does wind as expected, however it does have running issues and will run intermittently. We have attempted to track down the issue with no success and it may just need a cleaning however the process would be cost prohibitive for us at this time. A fun mechanical movement watch from the 1980s with a retro look in near mint cosmetic condition, an excellent project watch for the hobby watchmaker or as an entry level watch!

This watch is in our Mechanic's Special section because we consider it to have serious cosmetic or mechanical problems that are currently cost prohibitive to repair in-house, but the watch itself is of a high enough quality that it may be of interest as a repair project for some of our customers. Please read the Full Description, where we attempt to note the specific flaws or problems with the watch. In many cases, these problems do result in the watch not running, winding, or setting properly as is.
With that in mind, we do NOT offer our standard 30-day return on any Mechanic's Special items.
On these items, all sales are AS IS and FINAL.
This watch comes complete with an appropriate, intact glass crystal; however, on request PM Time Service can replace the current crystal on this wrist watch for you. We offer new plastic crystals for most vintage wrist watches; you can select your desired choice from the dropdown menu below.
Please note that the average turnaround time for wrist watch crystal replacements will be two days from the placement of the order; however, we do not carry every model of crystal in stock and there may be a delay of up to seven business days as we order the correct item from our supplier.
We are happy to offer alternate band options for this watch. Please see the Band Options below to view the styles and additional charges for each option we can provide. The first option on the list will reflect the watch in the current configuration as shown in the photos. If you choose an upgraded option, we will send you a photo of the watch, on request, with the new band ahead of shipping so you can approve the upgraded finish.
Contact us with any further questions or for an estimate on any shipping delays.
Please note: if you add this watch with a crystal and/or band exchange option to your
shopping cart but later change your mind on the crystal and/or band selection type, you'll need to remove the watch from the cart in order to make a new selection. Once that is done, you can return to this page and add that new crystal and/or band combination to the cart. We apologize for the limitations to our system that prevent you from making that change within the shopping cart.
Unlike modern quartz watches, most vintage watches need daily winding in order to keep the watch functioning for timekeeping. Additionally, there are a number of different ways to set the time other than simply pulling the crown away from the watch body. We are happy to provide an overview of each of the different setting types on our
"How To Use" page, where we also provide information on proper winding techniques for each style and some suggestions for the proper long term care and storage of your watch.
