Description:
Sheffield 1J grade EB 8800 nurse's pendant watch, this has a nurse's watch configuration so when worn the 12 o'clock position is at the bottom of the watch allowing for the quick reading of the time when the wearer holds the watch up to view, silver-toned metal dial with a sunburst brushed finish and raised silver markers has a few small specks of discoloration and some light patina near a few of the markers however no scratches or damage, silver steel wedge style hands and a silver sweep second hand.
Handsome white base metal (WBM) round pendant case (aluminum) with a large round aperture over the dial supporting a lightly domed plastic crystal, bezel of the case rounds down away from the aperture and is mirrored on the back side of the case, both sides are finished with a very tight engine turned engraved pattern, WBM crown at the bottom of the case and a cut-out section on the top that supports a WBM fluted bail that connects the watch to the paired cord necklace, case is showing normal even wear with very little smoothing to the engraving however some spots of discoloration across the surface, measures approx. 40mm in diameter x 47mm tall x 11mm thick (crystal included).
This watch is paired with a new 32" grey nylon cord necklace, with WBM cord guard, cord ends, spring ring clasp and a 2" leader chain, along with a matching smooth polish swivel slide along the length of the cord to allow attachment of a decorative fob, pendant or locket, wearable length of the necklace is approx. 810mm. An attractive vintage mechanical movement watch from the 1970s, paired with a vintage-inspired cord necklace, in excellent overall condition!
