Waltham 12S 15J grade No. 220 pocket watch #13989440, handsome nickel split plate movement with screw-down jewel settings and an elaborate concentric circle damaskeen pattern, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with fancy Arabic numbers, red Arabic 5 minute markers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has a few faint hairlines, blue steel spade style hands, attractive eight-sided white base metal (WBM) friction fit fully engraved case with a vertical line engraved design around the blank oval monogram shield surrounded by floral designs on the back, geometric & filigree engraved designs on the bezels, short heavy pendant and fancy bow, case is showing normal even wear with some spots of discoloration on the frame, front bezel, crown & bow from use, additionally there is a shallow dent on the back cover by the monogram shield, the case is not showing any additional screw marks however the style and material are inconsistent with the production date of the movement and so is likely a re-case to the watch, measures approx. 44mm wide x 52mm in length x 12mm thick (crystal included). A distinctive vintage mechanical movement dress watch from the early 1900s in excellent overall condition!
