Omega 16J cal. 30T2 SC wrist watch #10225183, case model 2179/4, early nickel split plate vintage mechanical manual-wind movement with bold red ruby jewels and a raised conversion bridge for the sweep second hand addition, champagne-toned metal dial with a brushed finish, luminous Arabic numbers and black-marked outer minute register with 1/5 second sub-marks, the hour numbers have a unique orientation of following the curve of the dial as opposed to sitting parallel to the 12-to-6 axis, dial is showing some fading to the numbers and register and has a short black mark above the Omega symbol, sleek silver steel wedge style hands with luminous inserts and a silver sweep second hand, none of the luminous elements are retaining or emitting light as expected.
Heavy smooth polish round stainless steel (SS) water-resistant case with a narrow sloped bezel supporting a domed plastic crystal, short heavy tapered extended lugs and a back marked "U.S. Army", case is showing normal even wear with a few short scratches on the back cover and some dulling to the frame near the crown, additionally the crown may be marked with the Omega symbol however it is showing notable wear with a small bit of brass and we can not make it out definitively, measures approx. 35mm in diameter x 42mm lug to lug x 11mm thick (crystal included), lightly padded, deeply textured dark brown leather strap band currently has a yellow gold filled (YGF) Omega marked buckle, we can replace the buckle with a new SS buckle at no charge on request (leave a note during checkout if desired), however it will not have the Omega branding.
This watch also comes with a nice generic red leatherette box with a white satin & white velvet interior. A very high quality, collectable triple signed Omega from the mid-1940s in excellent overall condition!
