Elgin 17J adj. grade 673 wrist watch #S690949 (50690949), case #0979265, case model 6519, vintage mechanical manual-wind movement, jet black metal single-sunk dial with distinctive raised silver mid-century modern style Arabic numbers & slender markers and a silver marked subsidiary seconds register at 12 o'clock, the dial does have a heavy patina across the surface, slender silver steel baton style hands, impressive rectangular white gold filled (WGF) & stainless steel (SS) case with a narrow bezel supporting a fancy three-facet plastic crystal, upper & lower frame extensions with ribbed engraving and slender short extended lugs, case is showing moderate wear with notable thin lines of brass on some of the lugs & frame along with brass showing on the crown from use, measures approx. 21mm wide x 33mm lug to lug x 10mm thick (crystal included), SS expansion band with uniform segments of center ribbed engraving bracketed by smooth polish caps. A high grade, eye-catching vintage Elgin from the 1950s in very good overall condition, still looking great even with the signs of wear!
