Wittnauer 17J grade 11BG3 AXA wrist watch, case #1075 301027, vintage mechanical manual-wind movement, lovely silver-toned metal dial with a fancy brushed finish engraving, raised fancy gold "W" marker at 12 o'clock and recessed markers with gold accents, there are a few luminous 5 minute markers however a few are also missing, other than the missing markers the dial is mint, gold steel wedge style hands with luminous inserts, none of the luminous material is retaining its light emitting properties, handsome thin-model yellow gold filled (YGF) model #1200 water-resistant round case with a narrow bezel supporting a flat top-high domed plastic crystal, a Wittnauer marked crown and slender tapered extended lugs; to reach the movement on this watch you remove the crystal which makes for a highly water resistant design, case is showing light normal wear with a few spots of discoloration on the lugs and bezel, measures approx. 32mm in diameter x 38mm lug to lug x 8mm thick (crystal included), new chocolate-brown lightly padded leather strap. An elegant, high grade mechanical movement wrist watch from the mid-1900s in excellent+ overall condition!
