Chancellor Watch Co. for Alavente 1J cal. 1013 wrist watch, vintage mechanical manual-wind movement, mint 2-tone dark and medium blue metal dial with a matte finish on both sections, outer lighter blue ring supports the fancy raised silver markers which are each set with three small faceted crystals, inner darker blue section supports a single silver set crystal that, as the center section turns, indicates the hour, small crystal set to the top of the center post, in lieu of a minute hand is a "floating" faceted crystal that rotates on a clear disk to indicate the minute, white minute marker hashmarks between the two sections, simple white base metal (WBM) chrome round case with a narrow tapered bezel supporting the slightly domed acrylic crystal and slender tapered extended lugs, case is showing normal even wear overall with a few small spots of moderate wear on the back of the lugs and a few light scuffs on the crystal, measures approx. 34mm in diameter x 42mm lug to lug x 10mm thick (crystal included), lightly padded heavily textured black leather strap band. An eye-catching and attractive example of a "mystery dial" vintage watch from the mid-1900s in excellent+ overall condition!
