Deutsche Uhrenfabrik - System Glashutte 45mm 7J PS pilot's wrist watch, case #51361, vintage mechanical manual-wind nickel split-plate movement with a light matte finish has a number of light scratches and spots of discoloration, it is running strong so these all appear to be cosmetic flaws only, distinctive silver-toned metal dial with very fancy Arabic numbers engraved into the dial that are then finished with either red or blue enamel, imitation double sunk (DS) line is an engraved gold color and a seconds register marked at 6 o'clock with red Arabic numbers, in gold text about the seconds register is marked "Deutsche Uhrenfabrik", dial has a uniform brushing over the surface, possibly from a vigorous cleaning to remove patina as you can see a few very small spots of patina still around the edge, matte black steel spade & whip style hands.

Heavy white base metal (WBM) smooth polish round barrel case with a large brass crown, rounded bezels, double friction-fit back covers, the first engraved with a dog surrounded by a pair of wavy concentric lines and the inner cover is marked "System Glashutte" along with the serial number, and fancy rounded barrel center extended lugs that support large hinged lug extensions, case is showing normal moderate wear overall with some lines of discoloration on the bezels, measures approx. 52mm in diameter x 72mm lug to lug x 16mm thick (crystal included), lightly textured brown leather strap band with WBM rivet accents is extra long (250mm maximum total length) and can be worn over clothing if desired. This is a very unusual and eye-catching watch from the early-1900s in very good overall condition!
