Hamilton 17J adj. grade 747 wrist watch #Y155420, nickel split plate vintage mechanical manual-wind movement with bold red ruby jewels and a bar-style damascene pattern, champagne-toned metal dial with a brushed finish, raised gold Arabic-style numbers & markers and a subsidiary seconds register has some small scratches and spots of discoloration, sleek gold steel wedge-style hands, handsome yellow gold filled (YGF) smooth polish water-resistant Hamilton "Nordon" model case, marked as such on the interior-back cover, with a narrow sloped bezel supporting a slightly domed glass crystal, solid back with a quick-lift movement (remove the front cover and you can tilt the movement from the case) and fancy sculpted extended lugs, case is showing normal even wear overall with a few small spots of brass starting to show on the lugs and frame, the YGF crown is likely a replacement but has been matched well for color and is only notable as it is a bit larger than most Hamilton crowns, measures approx. 29mm in diameter x 37mm lug to lug x 10mm thick (crystal included), lightly padded dark brown leather strap band. An elegant, high quality vintage Hamilton wrist watch from the 1940s in excellent condition!
