Timex for Disney quartz ring watch with "Winnie the Pooh", mint white metal dial with a multi-colored black, tan & red design of a bashful Winnie the Pooh across the entire dial, this is a minimalist design and has no hour or minute markers, slender silver steel whip-style hands and a silver sweep second hand, heavy white base metal (WBM) chrome round case with a slender tapered bezel supporting a flat glass crystal and unusual heavy hidden lugs that curve down from the watch to connect to the top of the ring area, case is showing only light even wear overall with a few light scuffs on the bezel, measures approx. 19mm in diameter x 22mm in length x 8mm thick (crystal included), WBM & stainless steel (SS) expansion band ring setting with slightly tapered wide rectangular segments is showing light even wear overall as well, the ring is a natural size 5 however with the expansion links will fit up to a size 13. A fun Winnie the Pooh watch from the early 2000s in excellent+ overall condition!

At PM Time Service, we refer to a "character watch" as any watch that has a dial, and possible other components, that have a cartoon character, public figure or a fictional character printed on them. There were many companies, such as US Time, Ingersoll and Timex, that were commissioned by the character-owner (such as Disney for example) to produce watches with these images, and in most cases, the characters watches were completed at the factory and not as an after-market addition. While most of the PM Time Service character watches are vintage, this type of watch is still in production today, albeit with updated quartz movements.


Character watches were primarily targeted towards children and as such, a large number of the watches produced were of lower quality or "dollar watches" and were also considered ladies' or mid-sized. While the original focus group for sales may have been targeted at children and young adults, we do see many purchases today by adults for their own use.
