Handsome vintage yellow gold filled (YGF) open-design filigree lapel pin with watch hook, YGF cut-out design has smooth polish curved elements supporting a tall oval monogram shield with geometric designs on either side, an engraved edge and a fancy monogram, possibly "CBC", smooth polish back has been set with a sturdy brass bar-pin finding with a latch clasp and a heavy curved hook at the bottom of the design, pin-front and findings are showing light even wear but there is a small spot of discoloration near the base of the monogram shield (likely from an improper gold test), measures approx. 29mm wide x 24mm tall. To attach a watch, or other display item, to the pin, thread the bow of the watch through the hoop on the back of the pin before you wear it. Once you put the pin on your person, your own clothing will prevent the watch from being able to leave the loop. Because of the curved design of this hook, it would also secure a watch to the pin safely if a brooch-converter was used to turn this into a pendant. A lovely vintage lapel pin in excellent+ condition!
