Elgin 17J adj. grade 662 ladies' wrist watch #P933102, case #970461 model 6311, vintage mechanical manual-wind movement, champagne-toned metal dial with a matte finish and fancy raised gold Arabic numbers has some light patina on the numbers but no notable scratches or damage, slender gold steel baton style hands with pointed tips, elegant round yellow gold filled (YGF) & stainless steel (SS) smooth polish case with a narrow bezel supporting a distinctive half-domed glass crystal over the dial aperture, stepped center extended lugs in the shape of elongated hearts with fluted side accents, case is showing normal even wear with some small spots of brass starting on the lugs & crown, additionally the domed crystal does have some light scratching along the top, we can replace with a standard plastic crystal at no charge on request, measures approx. 17mm in diameter x 29mm lug to lug x 9mm thick (crystal included).
High quality Spidel YGF & SS bracelet-style band with tapered mesh sections, each finished near the lugs by elaborate, engraved YGF bows and with standard square finials near the clasp, YGF fold-over clasp and a few short expansion segments which will allow for an additional 15mm of length when fully extended, band is showing normal even wear with a small bit of brass starting to show on the clasp as well as a small kink on the edge of one side that should work itself straight as the watch is worn, watch has an overall wearable length of approx. 158mm. A high quality and distinctive vintage Elgin from the 1950s in excellent overall condition!
