Description:

Elgin OS 15J grade 354 ladies' pocket watch #16074060, beautiful nickel split plate movement with screw-down jewel settings and an elaborate concentric circle damascene pattern, mint single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with fancy Arabic numbers, red Arabic 5 minute markers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register, blue steel spade style hands, impressive fully engraved yellow gold filled (YGF) hunting case (HC) with crisp engine turning and vermicelli engraving along both case surfaces and the frame with large floral designs in the foreground, fancy blank monogram shield on one side while the reverse has a sailboat and beach grass engraved design, fancy French-style bow and a glass crystal, case is showing very light even wear with very little smoothing to the engraving but some spots of discoloration on the interior case covers, additionally the glass crystal has an unusual faint ring of scratching near the edge, we think from a minute hand that had been improperly seated that was lightly scratching the crystal as it moved, we can replace the crystal with a new plastic one at no charge on request, measures approx. 35mm in diameter x 49mm in length x 10mm thick. A very attractive Elgin from the early 1900s in excellent+ overall condition!
