Bucherer 17J adj. 3p ladies' brooch watch, case #07, champagne-toned metal dial with a brushed finish with raised silver Arabic numbers and markers has a small scratch and a few small spots of discoloration, black steel baton style hands with pointed tips, elaborate Fondacier white base metal (WBM) fancy art nouveau-style pin in the shape of an elaborate bow with ribbons and curls above and round the center wide rectangular watch seat, entire surface of the bow, ribbon and watch sections have been set with lines of small faceted marcasite accents, round flip cover opens to reveal the watch dial, smooth polish back with a large brooch pin fitted with a safety clasp at one end, case & pin are showing only very light wear with the only notable wear on the frame near the crown, likely from winding of the watch, measures approx. 63mm wide x 36mm tall x 10mm thick. Please note that while many of this style of Bucherer brooch watches did come in silver or Sterling silver, the stick on the pin for this watch is marked "METAL" with no other silver hallmarks found on the brooch or interior watch case. While this may be an unmarked silver case we are selling it as WBM.
This piece also comes with a dark blue & cream colored Bucherer jewelry box, exterior is covered with a dark blue satin, interior has a cream colored satin and dark blue velvet finish, box is in good overall condition but some of the padding behind one of the surfaces is aged and is sloughing a bit of dust.
A lovely and distinctive vintage mechanical movement Bucherer from the mid-1900s, a company well known for high quality ladies pendant and brooch watches, in excellent+ overall condition!
