Description:
Gotham 17J grade STRU #84623 ladies' pendant watch, this has a nurse's watch configuration so when worn the 12 o'clock position is a the bottom of the watch allowing for the quick reading of the time when the wearer holds the watch up to view, silver-toned metal dial with a matte finish, fancy black Arabic numbers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some short light scratches, blue steel baton style hands with pointed tips.
Elaborate white base metal (WBM) round pendant case with a flip-open cover to view the watch, sides and back of the case are smooth polish, flip-cover has been set with faceted round & rectangular rhinestones in a stylized design of a snowflake or similar fractal pattern, glass crystal, yellow gold filled (YGF) crown, half-circle connector on the frame is also set with am array of matching rhinestones and connects the watch, via three snake-link WBM chains, to the matching triple circle & bar art deco style lapel pin, pin has a cutout design of three circles interconnecting with a line across the center of all three, the entire surface has been finished with round & rectangular rhinestones matching the watch case.
Back side of the pin has a traditional WBM pin stick to connect the pin to your person which is hinged at one end and with a half-arc guide with a safety latch at the opposite end, the case & pin are showing light normal wear however there is some yellowing starting on some of the rhinestones, additionally the crown is in excellent condition but is likely a replacement to the watch, set measures approx. 34mm wide x 66mm in length x 12mm thick. A very distinctive and high quality vintage watch & pin set from the mid-1950s in excellent overall condition!
