Yellow gold filled (YGF), Fool's Gold (iron pyrite) and enamel cross pattée style Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) pocket watch chain fob, elaborate smooth polish YGF cross pattée with open centers that have been filled with small flakes of Fool's Gold compressed into triangular plates, unfortunately the lower triangular plate is empty, upper heavy filigree designs support a sturdy top connector loop, front side of the fob supports in the center a raised round YGF design of a clock face finished with white and dark blue enamel and marked "BPOE" in gold along with a three dimensional sculpted YGF elk's head with spread antlers and small red crystal eyes, reverse side has a raised center YGF round shield finished with bright blue enamel and marked "BPOE Cervus Alces" along with a slightly raised YGF elk's head design, overall the fob is showing normal even wear with a few small spots of brass showing on various outer sections, the remaining 3 iron pyrite triangles are all in good shape with a few flakes out near the top corners but otherwise complete and secure in the YGF frames, measures approx. 27mm wide x 39mm tall x 13mm thick. An impressive vintage fraternal fob in very good condition!
