Burlington by Illinois 16S 21J hunting case movement (HCM) adj. grade 108 pocket watch #3217114, impressive nickel bridge movement with raised screw-down jewel settings, a gold train & center wheel and a wide bar-style damascene pattern, double sunk (DS) porcelain enamel dial with bold Roman numerals, a black minute marker register and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some faint hairlines, blue steel Breguet moon-style hands.
Re-cased into a white base metal (WBM) fully engraved screw back & bezel (SB&B) salesman's display case with rounded smooth polish bezels supporting the glass crystals and finished with floral engraving at the base, deeply engraved floral & geometric patterns on the sculpted frame, short pendant with a recessed crown and a fancy engraved bow, case is showing very light wear with a few small nicks, it should be noted that while the back cover screws down tight as expected the front does screw down securely but will continue to spin, possibly as a feature to prevent overtightening, measures approx. 49mm in diameter x 62mm in length x 17mm thick (crystal included). An impressive Burlington from the early 1900s, perfectly showcased in a display case, in excellent overall condition!
