Elgin 16S 21J lever set (LS) adj. 9p B.W. Raymond grade 571 pocket watch #I275208, attractive nickel split plate movement with bold red ruby jewels and a bar-style damascene pattern, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with bold fancy Arabic numbers, red Arabic 5 minute markers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some faint hairlines, bold blue steel spade & whip style hands, handsome yellow gold filled (YGF) smooth polish Elgin model 3055 screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with steeply sloped bezels, heavy stepped shoulders with detailing framing the recessed crown and a fancy bow, case is showing normal even wear with some small spots of brass starting on the frame & bezels and some notable scratches on the back bezel, additionally the back cover seats firmly as expected however the case was cross-threaded and it can be a little finicky to get started when screwing it back on, measures approx. 49mm in diameter x 61mm in length x 15mm thick (crystal included). A high grade triple signed railroad grade Elgin from the 1950s in excellent overall condition!
