Elgin 16S 21J lever set (LS) adj. 5p B.W. Raymond grade 478 pocket watch #26261197, handsome nickel split plate movement with screw-down gold jewel settings (GJS), a gold center wheel and a bar style damascene pattern, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with bold boxcar style numbers, a black-marked minute marks along the outer edge and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some faint hairlines, bold blue steel spade & whip style hands.
Attractive SWC (Star) yellow gold filled (YGF) screw back & bezel (SB&B) case, model No. 39, with "Elgin R.R." marked on the base of the heavy pendant, a smooth polish back, checkerboard style engraving on the bezels, recessed crown, a large bow and glass crystal, case is showing normal even wear with a small bit of smoothing to the top area of both bezels, a few small spots of brass starting on the upper frame, pendant & bow and a small flake at the edge of the crystal, we can replace the crystal with a new plastic one at no charge on request, measures approx. 51mm in diameter x 63mm in length x 13mm thick (crystal included). An attractive, high grade triple signed railroad grade Elgin from the 1920s in excellent+ overall condition!
