Waltham 16S 23J lever set (LS) adj. 6p Vanguard U&D wind indicator pocket watch #26665392, beautiful nickel bridge movement with raised gold jewel settings (some screw-down), a gold center wheel, diamond balance endcap and an elaborate mixed checkerboard & fancy concentric circle damascene pattern, this model has the time set lever at 11 o'clock, double sunk (DS) porcelain enamel Montgomery dial with bold Arabic boxcar style numbers, red & black Arabic minute markers, a black-marked subsidiary wind indicator register at 12 o'clock, a black-marked subsidiary seconds register at 6 o'clock and is marked "Waltham Vanguard 23 Jewels", dial does have some small faint hairlines, bold blue steel spade & whip style hands.
Heavy Waltham model 7G yellow gold filled (YGF) screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with a smooth polish back engraved with a detailed scene of a locomotive pulling cars on a double track, deeply engraved comets or fancy half circles on the bezels, geometric design heavy short shoulders with a recessed crown, a fancy bow with engraving matching the bezels and a glass crystal, case is showing normal moderate wear with some notable smoothing on the bezel & bow engraving, a few patches of light scuffing on the back cover and some brass starting to show in small lines across the bezels, frame & bow, measures approx. 51mm in diameter x 62mm in length x 13mm thick (crystal included). A very attractive & desirable triple signed Waltham railroad grade watch from the 1920s in excellent overall condition!
