Hamilton 16S 19J adj. 3p Model 23 chronograph pocket watch #P9844, nickel split-plate movement with sweep second and chronograph adaptation gears, bold red ruby jewels and a matte finish, black metal dial with a matte finish, white Arabic-style numbers and a detailed minute marker register in white around the edge, white chronograph register at 12 o'clock and white seconds register at 6 o'clock, dial has a few pin-head sized depressions, possibly factory defects, and a few very light scuffs, silver steel spade & whip style hands and chronograph sweep finished with bright white enamel, chrome (white base metal [WBM]) smooth polish screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with coin edge bezels, a heavy bow, a chronograph depress button on the top of the crown and a glass crystal has been marked for military service on the back of the case, "Type D MFR's Part No. 37297 Serial No. AF 42-21118 Contract No. W-535-ac-28072 Hamilton Watch Co.", case is showing normal wear as expected with many light scuffs and scratches however no brass or serious defects, measures approx. 51mm in diameter x 68mm in length x 15mm thick (crystal included). An impressive WWII-era military issue Hamilton from the 1940s in excellent condition!
