Bulova 21J grade 7AA A9 wrist watch, case #4029942 L0, vintage mechanical manual-wind movement, champagne-toned metal single sunk dial with a distinctive matte & polished finish design that gives the dial triangle sections, raised fancy gold Arabic numbers, black minute markers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some notable spots of discoloration around the edge and lightly across the center along with some light patina on the numbers, gold steel bold whip style hands.
Impressive yellow gold filled (YGF) rectangular case with deep horizontal engraving across the bezel and frame, classic extended lugs with a curved end detail, a Bulova marked crown and a heavy domed plastic crystal, case is showing normal even wear with some small spots of brass starting on the edges of the bezel & lugs, measures approx. 22mm wide x 37mm lug to lug x 9mm thick (crystal included), nicely paired YGF & stainless steel (SS) expansion band with segments supporting horizontal engraving similar to the engraving on the case, the band does have a few segments that are slightly stretched out, they look ok when worn but are noticeable when in storage, additionally there is a bit of brass starting to show on a few of the segments; we can replace the band with a new expansion or leather strap band at no charge on request however the expansion band pattern will be different. A very eye-catching, high grade Bulova from the 1940s in excellent overall condition!
