Bulova 17J wrist watch, case #F809571 M8, vintage mechanical manual-wind movement, mint matte black metal dial with raised silver Arabic numbers that have been blackened, luminous 5 minute ball markers and a white-marked outer minute register, slender silver steel baton style hands with pointed tips and luminous inserts and a silver sweep second hand, all the luminous elements are retaining and emitting light although faintly.
Impressive cushion-shaped stainless steel (SS) thin-model water-resistant case with a slightly sloped bezel supporting an unusual slightly domed plastic crystal with white Arabic 13-24 numbers printed on the interior to create a Canadian style display over the dial, a Bulova marked crown and large curved wedge-shaped extended lugs, case is showing normal even wear with a few light scratches on the lugs, back and crystal, we can replace the crystal with a new plastic one at no charge on request however it will not have the markings, measures approx. 32mm wide x 38mm lug to lug x 8mm thick (crystal included), interesting SS expansion band with wide smooth polish segments with a center horizontal engraved channel comprise the entire length of the band and is finished at one end with a lug tip containing a perpetual calendar under a domed plastic crystal, small wheel will slowly advance the calendar to a configuration that matches the target month. A high grade Bulova from the 1960s with a number of distinctive finish options in excellent overall condition!
