Elgin 12S 17J grade 345 pocket watch #30091437, handsome nickel split plate movement with screw-down jewel settings and a fancy concentric circle damaskeen pattern, mint light grey metal dial with a matte finish, elaborate gold & black Masonic emblems for numbers, an outer black minute marker register, a seconds register at 6 o'clock that has a polished, engraved finish and an elaborate gold & black Masonic shield across the upper half, this dial is a replacement to the watch, blue steel double cross-bar diamond style hands, impressive yellow gold filled (YGF) hinge back (HB) case with a delicate honeycomb pattern engraving on the back cover with an elaborate monogram shield surrounded by floral engraving on the lower half, initials in the shield are "L.S.D.", deeply engraved geometric designs on the bezels, frame, fancy pendant & fancy bow, recessed hinge and an inscription from 1929 on the inner back cover, case is showing very light even wear with a bit of smoothing to the engraving on the back cover but no notable scratches or damage, measures approx. 44mm in diameter x 55mm in length x 12mm thick (crystal included). An impressive, high quality vintage Masonic watch from the 1920s in excellent+ overall condition!
