Elgin 18S 11J key wind grade 13 pocket watch #2018669, handsome gilt full plate movement with an engraved balance bridge and a brushed finish, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with Roman numerals, an outer black minute register and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some faint hairlines and a few small flakes at the edge of the dial, blue steel spade & whip style hands, re-cased into a heavy smooth polish white base metal (WBM) hinge back & bezel (HB&B) case with a large heavy bow and an extra thick glass crystal, case is showing normal even wear but has some small spots of discoloration on the bezels & frame, two shallow half-rings on the upper part of each bezel where the bow has pressed into the material over time, and some clouding to the crystal from the buildup of small scuffs & scratches, we can replace the crystal with a new beveled plastic crystal at no charge on request, measures approx. 57mm in diameter x 83mm in length x 21mm thick (crystal included). A nice example of an early Elgin key wind watch from the 1880s in very good overall condition, perfect for carrying everyday!
