Kaiserstunde (1901-1990) 44mm 7J pin set (PS) pocket watch, case #145535, later model bar-style gilt movement with steel winding wheels and a brushed finish, fancy porcelain enamel 2-tone single sunk (SS) dial with a white base and a light green band around the center, bold black Roman numerals, black Arabic 5 minute markers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register, dial has a number of faint hairlines and a stabilized cluster of cracks at 7:30, fancy gold steel Louis XIV style hands.
Lovely white base metal (WBM) hinge back (HB) Kaiserstunde case with a detailed engraving of two horses near a water trough on the back surrounded by large floral and geometric designs, a depress shoulder for the pin setting button at 1 o'clock on the frame, a large heavy bow and a thick glass crystal, interior of the back case also has a neatly done faint hand-engraved inscription, possibly "Hendrich Smith", case is showing normal even wear with a few small dents on the back, some small spots of discoloration from wear on the front bezel, frame & pendant, and a small flake at the edge of the crystal, we can replace the crystal with a new beveled plastic crystal at no charge on request, measures approx. 48mm in diameter x 68mm in length x 14mm thick (crystal included). An attractive German watch from the mid-1900s in very good overall condition!
