Hamilton 16S 21J lever set (LS) adj. 5p grade 992 pocket watch #2517943, handsome nickel split plate movement with screw-down gold jewel settings (GJS), gold center wheel and a bar-style damascene pattern, movement has a few small but notable scratches which are cosmetic defects but do not affect the running condition, double sunk (DS) porcelain enamel dial with bold fancy Arabic numbers, red Arabic 5 minute markers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some small hairlines at 4:30 and a notable repair at the edge of the dial to the markers between the 11 & 12, bold blue steel hands, re-cased into an attractive yellow gold filled (YGF) hinge back & bezel (HB&B) case with a fully engine turned back around the fancy monogram shield in the center, monogram in the shield is possibly "MJL", coin edge frame and a heavy bow, case is showing normal even wear with thin lines of brass starting on the case edges, frame & bow along with a few small nicks on the front bezel, measures approx. 51mm in diameter x 70mm in length x 15mm thick (crystal included). A high grade Hamilton railroad grade watch from the 1920s in very good overall condition, perfect to carry everyday!
