Elgin 10S 17J DeLuxe grade 542 pocket watch #X605352, case #26840, attractive nickel split plate movement with bold red ruby jewels and a wide bar-style damascene pattern, single sunk (SS) champagne-toned metal dial with a brushed finish, raised gold fancy Arabic numbers, a black-marked outer minute register and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some small specks and a bit of light patina starting around the edge, gold steel triangle-style hands, thin model smooth polish 14k gold Elgin friction fit case with sloped bezels, a large fancy monogram on the back, possibly "ABF", and a short heavy pendant with a recessed crown, case is showing normal wear with a small depression on the top of the frame near the pendant, additionally it appears the bow is a yellow gold filled (YGF) replacement to the case, measures approx. 44mm in diameter x 56mm in length x 8mm thick (crystal included), weighs approx. 29.6 dwt (movement included). This watch also comes with a generic brown leather storage case with a brown suede interior and a snap buckle. A classic, high quality solid gold triple signed Elgin from the 1940s in excellent overall condition!
