16" extra heavy coin silver straight-style double curb link pocket watch chain with a silver drill bit fob, large extra-heavy weight smooth polish curb links with a wave design are double connected to form a very tight pattern for the entire length of the chain, finished on both ends with matching triangular shaped finials with geometric engraving, finished on one end with a Sterling silver-marked medium-sized swivel and on the opposite end with an oversized smooth polish coin silver button hook finding with a ball detail and swivel loop, attached to the finding loop is a heavy silver fob in the shape of a drill bit (or similar) with each of the three teeth engraved with a letter, letters read "RPF", chain is showing normal even wear with some smoothing on the interior of some links from wear against each other and a few small but deep nicks on the finials, additionally the swivel is in excellent condition but is likely a replacement to the chain, overall length is approx. 405mm, chain links measure approx. 10x15mm, fob measures approx. 9mm in diameter x 27mm in length (connector ring included), set weighs approx. 67.2dwt. An impressive silver chain from the late 1800s in excellent overall condition!
