Elgin 17J adj. grade 687 wrist watch #P847275, case 6758 2222028, handsome nickel split plate vintage mechanical manual-wind movement with bold red ruby jewels and a brushed finish, single sunk (SS) champagne-toned metal dial with raised gold Arabic numbers and chevron markers with luminous accents and a subsidiary seconds register has a few small specks of discoloration, fancy skeletonized gold steel baton-style hands with pointed tips and luminous inserts, none of the luminous material on the dial or hands appear to retain the light emitting properties, elegant yellow gold filled (YGF) & stainless steel (SS) round water-resistant Elgin case with a narrow bezel supporting a lightly domed glass crystal and a sloping frame supporting fancy sculpted extended lugs, case is showing normal even wear overall with a few small spots of brass on the back of the lugs and the front of the crown along with a moderate crescent of wear around the crown from use, additionally the crystal does have a number of small scratches and a notable crack at 12 o'clock near the edge, we can exchange the crystal with a new plastic one on request, measures approx. 32mm in diameter x 40mm lug to lug x 9mm thick (crystal included), 2-tone brown and green leather strap band, sections of dark brown non-textured leather in a rounded tab near each side of the case is finished over the primary dark green lightly padded heavily textured length of the strap. An attractive high quality vintage Elgin from the 1950s in very good overall condition!
