Hampden 18S 9J lever set (LS) Gladiator pocket watch #742517, attractive gilt full plate movement with a brushed finish and an engraved balance bridge, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with fancy Arabic style numbers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some faint hairlines, blue steel spade style hands, re-cased into a heavy smooth polish yellow gold filled (YGF) screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with a coin edge frame, sculpted long pendant and a heavy bow, case is showing moderate to heavy wear with notable brass and some smoothing to the coin edge engraving in spots, measures approx. 55mm in diameter x 79mm in length x 20mm thick (crystal included). An early Hampden from the 1890s, running well and perfect to carry everyday in good overall condition!
