Elgin 6S 11J grade 119 ladies' pocket watch #4984175, handsome nickel split plate movement with a fancy plate layout and scalloped-circle damascene pattern, porcelain enamel dial with roman numerals and a subsidiary seconds register has a few short hairlines near the edge of the dial, blue steel spade-style hands, impressive heavy 14k hunting case (HC) with elaborate vermicelli and small faceted stars engraved across both covers, one side has blank star-shaped monogram shield while the reverse has a faceted-star detail, coin-edge frame and heavy bow, replacement yellow gold filled (YGF) interior bezel, case is showing only very light wear overall with very little smoothing to the engraving, however there is a notable depression along the frame along with a small dent on the edge of the front cover, measures approx. 42mm in diameter x 59mm in length x 13mm thick. An impressive vintage gold watch from 1890s in excellent+ condition!
