Elgin 16S 15J lever set (LS) grade 2 pocket watch #4311419, handsome gilt split plate movement with screw-down jewel settings, a fancy engraved balance bridge, brushed finish and an unusual plate layout, porcelain enamel dial with Roman numerals and a black marked subsidiary seconds register has some spots of discoloration in the seconds register however no hairlines, blue steel spade style hands, attractive Leader coin silver hunting case (HC) with deep floral and geometric engraved designs on both covers, one side has a blank fancy monogram shield at 6 o'clock and the reverse has floral designs in the shield, coin edge frame and bezels, brass crown, offset hinges and an anti-magnetic base metal dust cover, case is showing normal moderate wear overall with notable smoothing to the engraved designs and the bezel coin edging along with some heavy scratches on the interior frame near the case lips, measures approx. 52mm in diameter x 73mm in length x 16mm thick. An attractive silver cased Elgin from the 1890s in very good overall condition!
